Even though I have critical congenital heart disease,
four open heart surgeries,
three pacemakers, and
two mechanical valves—
I’ve never let that stop me.

Growing up, I was aware that books did not feature characters like me.

That’s why I started writing books using my experiences to show and portray people with illnesses in historical fiction, fantasy, and horror.
